William P. Bried, Esquire, is member of the Pennsylvania and Lehigh County Bar Associations and is also admitted to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Bill received his undergraduate degree from Penn State in 1970 and his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Memphis in 1977. Bill was a member of the University of Memphis Law Review. He was admitted to practice law by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court in April 1978 and to the Lehigh County Court of Common Pleas in May 1978.

Prior to the establishment of Ritter & Bried, P.C., Bill was an associate and a shareholder in Snyder, Doll & Schantz, P. C. from 1978 to 1998.

Prior to attending law school, Bill was an officer in the United States Navy from 1970 to 1975; he was a Naval Flight Officer flying throughout the United States, Europe, and the Mideast. Bill attended Penn State from 1966 to 1970 on an NROTC scholarship. Bill was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon while attending Penn State.

Bill primarily represents clients in Lehigh and Northampton counties, Pennsylvania. He represents clients in the preparation of estate planning documents and assists executors, administrators and trustees in connection with the administration of estates and trusts. Bill also represents clients in the review, drafting and negotiating of all types of contracts, and in selling or purchasing businesses. Bill represents clients in many types of litigation matters. He also represents clients in estate litigation, real estate matters, breach of contract, general business disputes, and in divorce, support, and custody matters, including the preparation of premarital agreements.

Bill's goal is to efficiently and effectively complete a transaction or resolve a legal problem without costly delay while still recognizing his clients' objectives and goals.

Working closely with advisors, lawyers, banks, and accountants, Bill also provides his clients with comprehensive legal services in most areas of the law. Although Bill has a great deal of experience in many areas of the law, he is also a great source to review his clients' overall legal issues and, if needed, he is able to refer his clients to other professions who may have the necessary experience and emphasis to address these special issues.

Bill has served on various non-profit boards including Big Brothers/Sisters of the Lehigh Valley and Asbury United Methodist Church. Originally from Wilmington, Delaware, Bill has lived and practiced law in the Lehigh Valley since 1977.

Bill is a member of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, the Donald Wieand Barristers Inn of the Court, a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and lives in Orefield, Upper Macungie Township.
